OK lets unpack this and try to bring it back to the content of this post. Bear with me...
You begin by stating two dubious things - Israel is nowhere near the 4th largest army - according to a quick Wiki search. Secondly, you continue by saying it is US backed, even though the US gives billions to other countries, and has given 4X to the Ukraine in the last two years and even though the amount the US gives Israel is literally half a percent of Israel's GDP - roughly the same percentage as what is gives to Egypt (BTW if any country is "backed" by the US it is Ethiopia).
You then continue with the Violent expulsion. The other narrative is that the Arabs who were in the British Mandate at the time rejected peace and then declared war and subsequently lost that war. They also had another 5 opportunities to have their own state and refused all of them.
Yes, the Nakba happened - but you leave out the that many left on their own volition, many sold their land, and a very large amount chose to stay and become Israeli citizens.
Which brings us to Apartheid - those same non-Jewish Arab Israelis do not live under apartheid. They have the full rights and privileges that I do. Rights and privileges that do not exist in other countries in the MENA region - especially for women and the LGBTQ population. Is Israel perfectly equitably and free from inequality, of course not, but it is certainly not Apartheid.
Which brings us to the article - what I am trying to point out here is that there are two sides to this and it is extremely complex. For every point you made there are justifiable counterpoints that also exist.
There are two narratives that must be equally respected in order to reach any type of middle ground. That middle ground is critical to creating some workable form of "coexistence" - whatever that may be.
Whether you believe "Palestinians" existed two thousand years ago (they did not - there was no such concept) or whether you think they are a concept made up by Arafat (an Egyptian) in 1964 the fact is that Palestinians exist today.
But so does Israel.
What your comment says to me is that you are not so keen on this - that both exist and both must be respected in order to move forward in some way. The reason I believe so is because you immediately defaulted to knee-jerk tropes - the same tropes that are perpetuated in the many examples I cite here.
Did you read the Microsoft report? Would love your thought on that.
