Myrna - I am trying to stay away from the word "narrative" because this is a new invention over the last 10 years of identity politics. Narratives move people away from objectivity. What I am trying to point out with this article and the one before (make sure to read that as well) is not a weak narrative, but a loss of objectivity and truth.
The loss of objectivity and truth - IMO - comes from the rise of polarization and the vicious cycle of polarization fueling skewed media which fuels more polarization - all compounded by social media.
Also Israel has done a very bad job at "presenting their case" but also being truthful about their errors and flaws. The "Light unto the nations" story does not hold up any longer, and Israel has done a very bad job of understanding their impact on global perception and world Jewry...
