John - I totally agree with you that the world is much bigger than this conflict, but I would counter that part of the reason for this is exactly because attention is purposefully being diverted back to Israel.

That is exactly what the Microsoft reports are saying - massive coordinated efforts that have being going on for years.

I would also argue that many governing bodies, specifically the UN - are also to blame for this. The UN purposefully focuses only on Israel and effectively ignores every single conflict across the world - going on for about two decades:

Therefore, yes the world is much bigger, but there are also notable actors who are making coordinated efforts to ignore issues in other countries, which ultimately means that Islamic Jihadi terrorists can ethnically cleanse the Sahel without any retribution.
