Em - you need to look at this differently - this is a win. The person took down a hateful and wrong post that will no longer be part of the internet-sphere. But your knowledge and understanding will always remain and you can use it again the next time.

You did one of two things: You made the person confront their ignorance, or you made them confront their hypocrisy because facts contradicted their narrative. Much of what we see is driven by ignorance or hypocrisy. Both need to be actively countered.
