AOC JUST MADE ME LOSE RESPECT FOR DEMOCRATS WITH ONE TWEET
On the 18th of September, 2024 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (aka “AOC”) — Democratic congresswoman from NY’s 14th district — wrote this on Twitter (or X) to her 13.2 million followers:
The staggering stupidity, incompetence, and outright deceit in this one post should be a major Red Flag for Democrats, and should be a moment of deep introspection regarding the future of the party and what it stands for.
But let’s rewind for a moment to the impetus behind AOC’s asinine comment…
The morning of the 18th of September we all woke up to the news that the pager devices of Hezbollah members in Lebanon blew up — killing hundreds of terrorists and injuring hundreds more.
This attack — which was most probably carried out by Israel — is the most precise counter-terrorism act the world has ever seen. Israel — allegedly — intercepted a shipment of 5000 pagers that Hezbollah purchased to be used by Hezbollah members only. This shipment was tampered with and detonated en masse on the 18th.
Here we can see AOC’s flagrant lie to her followers. The pagers did the exact opposite from what she stated. They were deliberately, with utmost surgical precision, specifically targeting terrorists. Not a single civilian had access to these pagers. Not a single civilian was targeted.
3500 terrorists were injured or killed. 4 civilians were killed. And those civilians were killed because they were standing too close to the terrorist who had the pager when it detonated.
In Feb 2024 Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah, ordered Hezbollah members to start using pagers. It was only Hezbollah who ordered this shipment. It was only Hezbollah terrorist who had these pagers.
But the real issue with AOCs post is much deeper. People either don’t know or have conveniently forgotten what Hezbollah actually is. So a critical reminder:
Hezbollah is a militant Shia terrorist organization, founded around 1982 with extensive support from the equally militant and terrorist organization IRGC.
Hezbollah gained early fame for their pure and widespread evil, without any regard for the human lives that they take.
Hezbollah’s evil spreads across the entire globe and affects all of us, not just Israel:
→ Kidnapping US citizen David Dodge in 1982
→ Car bombing the US embassy in Beirut, killing 63 in 1983
→ Truck bombing the US marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 in 1983
→ Car bombing the French military compound in Beirut, killing 58 in 1983
→ Kidnapping US citizen William Francis Buckley in 1984
→ Car bombed the US embassy in Beirut, killing 22, in 1984
→ Hijacked Kuwait Airlines Flight 221, killing 4, in 1984
→ Kidnap, torture and murder of William Higgins in 1989
→ Hijacking TWA Flight 847 in 1985
→ At least 30 other kidnappings of US citizens between 1982 and 1992
→ Truck bombing of US complex in Saudi Arabia, killing 19 Americans and injuring nearly 400, 1996
→ Hezbollah is a massive global drug trafficker, working in conjunction with other terrorist organization like Los Zetas and FARC every day.
→ And to top it all off, Hezbollah does quite a bit of human trafficking, as well as sex-slave trafficking.
Hezbollah also has a long and storied history of extracting evil across the Arab world as well
→ Responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in Syria alongside Assad in slaughtering 600,000 people (at least 300K civilians) and displacing another 13 million (I am still waiting for AOC to tweet about this)
→ Massacre of 10000 Lebanese Christians and 6000 Lebanese Druze during the years of the Lebanese Civil War, 1985–1990
-> Abduction, torture and murder of countless people who speak out against Hezbollah publicly, like General Wissam al-Hassan, Lebanese Ambassador to the US Mohamad Chatah, and most recently Pascal Sleiman in April of this year.
-> Murdering 3 Saudi Diplomats, 1998
→ Abduction and murder of Saudi Secretary in Bangkok, 1989
→ Abduction and murder of 2 Saudi diplomats and one Saudi civilian, 1990
→ Assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri, and killing another 22, 1995
→ Countless deaths of Lebanese citizens over the last 40 years by Hezbollah “Security Patrols” in Sunni, Christian, and Druze areas that rarely gets to the mainstream media
→ Using the Lebanese as Human Shields by storing rockets and weapons caches within apartments in residential areas.
→ The only faction in the complex Lebanese political map that refused to disarm their militia as dictated in the Taif agreement.
Hezbollah also hates Palestinians.
They have never once given money, supplies, or aid to Palestinians.
Nasrallah’s first job was killing Palestinians in Lebanon as a young proto-terrorist of the AMAL Shia militia.
And to this day hundreds of thousands of Palestinian live in refugee camps in the Hezbollah controlled southern part of Lebanon. These Palestinians are forbidden by law from owning property, having access to national health services, working in specific fields (like law, medicine, and engineering), and plenty more. (I’m still waiting for AOC to call out this actual Apartheid).
Hezbollah does share two common denominators with Hamas:
1) An ideological Islamo-Fascist fixation on killing every Jew on the planet (and then killing every non-Muslim).
2) The desire to drag their civilian populations into war in order to utilize civilian deaths as click bait for global PR against Jews.
Hence, on the 8th of October Hezbollah unilaterally started launching rockets at Israel. There was absolutely no conflict with Lebanon prior to this. Hezbollah isn’t even the Lebanese national army.
Since then, over 8500 missiles have been launched into Israel by Hezbollah.
Each one of them is targeting civilians.
Each missile is intended to kill civilians. Each missile is a war crime.
Hezbollah has succeeded in killing 47 civilians, including 12 Druze children who were playing soccer. The only reason there are no more civilian deaths from Hezbollah rockets is that Israel vacated nearly 100k civilians (of every religion) to the south, where they have been living as “internal refugees” for 11 months.
Eventually Israel decided: enough is enough.
What you are seeing now is the Israeli response — which is the most precise response ever recorded in military history — to specifically stop these rockets while at the same time minimizing — as much as possible — any impact on the Lebanese people.
And yes, had AOC bothered to do some googling, she would have seen that Israel’s response is legal according to international law.
And herein lies the problem with AOC’s tweet:
With one tweet she has spat in the face of US allies like Saudi Arabia and Israel.
With one tweet she has spat in the face of US service people who are deployed all over the globe, and are risking their lives to protect her ass from the likes of Hezbollah.
With one tweet she has shown complete disregard to history, facts, and reality.
With one tweet she has shown that she actually doesn’t really give a damn about Palestinians at all.
With one tweet she has shown utter contempt for 600K deaths in Syria at the hand of Hezbollah and Assad.
And you know who else she is shitting on?
The Lebanese.
Ever since the 18th of September, the pride of the Lebanese people has been revitalized. They are bravely speaking out and telling the world exactly what Hezbollah does, and exactly how Hezbollah has destroyed the country.
It is Hezbollah’s complete disregard for the people of Lebanon, coupled with sectarian strife, that have destroyed the economy of Lebanon over the last forty years.
And the Lebanese have had enough.
Maybe AOC posted what she did because of sheer ignorance. This is plausible, the history is complex.
Maybe AOC posted what she did to win brownly points with the far-left rape deniers and Pro-Hamas protesters.
Maybe AOC simply hates it when Jews fight back.
But AOC’s message gets to the masses. And now we see Pro-Terror protesters in NYC waving Hezbollah flags — completely clueless about what Hezbollah actually means to the Lebanese.
Useful Idiots indeed.
My concern with the Democratic party is that there are too many within the party who agree with AOC.
There are too many in the Democratic party who continue to disseminate blatant lies based on naked Jew Hatred because it fits the narrative du jour.
And there are too many within the Democratic Party who know that AOC is wrong and out of her depth, but remain silent because of whatever politicking and fears of rocking the boat.
AOC’s tweet should be a red flag to Democrats in the US.
They need to decide what kind of party they want to be.
Democrats can go down the path of AOC, but this means ignoring history and facts, discrediting US servicemen and women, and ultimately dooming the citizens of the Middle East to continuous subjugation by the likes of Hezbollah and other Islamo-fascists.
Or they can speak out against this and work to rid the world of Jihadi extremism, which is the ultimate root cause of strife in the Middle East. This includes what Hamas has done to the people of Gaza.
There is hope.
I am constantly impressed with Democratic politicians like John Fetterman and Ritchie Torres. They should be what the Democratic party aspires to be. They strive to achieve what should be the core of liberal democracies: protecting LBGTQ rights, protecting a women’s right to choose, free speech, equal protection under the law, access to affordable healthcare, and so forth.
But they also get history, and context. And they have the moral clarity and judgement that AOC clearly does not.
There is also hope for Israel and Lebanon.
There are more commonalities between Israelis and Lebanese than is outwardly seen. Israel and Lebanon even had stable peace between 1948 and 1969. There are older Lebanese and Israelis who remember being able to fly from Beirut to Jerusalem.
What AOC has achieved with her foolish and incompetent tweet is actually moving Israel and Lebanon farther away from each other. She has justified the continued existence of Hezbollah and their atrocities in Lebanon. She has perpetuated hate by excusing terrorism. She has fostered more hate through deliberately spreading misinformation.
My hope is that Democrats in the US are smart enough to see through AOC’s ignorance and learn the history on their own. My hope for Israelis and Lebanese is that they rid themselves of the extremist factions in their governments and return to the peace of the 50s.
AOC, all her supporters in the street, and all the Useful Idiots out there should listen to what the Lebanese are telling you. Like this brave soul:
